Once Again....

OK. So once again I completely forgot to Blog. Comes with having a busy life I guess. And another downside to not having enough time is that I only have a minute when I do get to blog. So,

Daycare Thought of the Day: If you eat all of your lunch make sure that you eat your cookie. Even if you can't keep your eyes open. :)

Square or Diamond????

You should know by now that any posts that happen on a Saturday are usually pretty boring. Since I take on "hermit status" on the weekends the topics I post are mostly about things I encounter during the day. So today's topic is............ Shreddies!

I'm sure you have all seen the commercials for the new "Diamond Shreddies". Well, let me tell you, THIS IS A CROCK! Don't fall for it! Square is the best! In fact, I have come up with three reasons why I think that everyone and their dog should go onto the website and vote square, not diamond. Here they are....

1. Square has been around longer. It is the tested tried and true. It's the thing we grew up on. And in my opinion it's the one to choose.
2. The diamond shreddies are too overrated. Just because their "cool" and "new age" everyone is switching to them. All a bad idea if you ask me....
3. And the third and final reason, it's hip to be a square!

If you agree with even ONE of the three points I have listed above then please, go on and vote for the square. Right now it's behind by at least 8% of the votes. I'll post the link so you can go on and vote vOtE VOTE!!!! :)

Autumn, Closer Than We Think....

It's official! The first leaf has fallen! Imagine my surprise when on a walk with the kids, Vanessa(a two-year old who obviously doesn't know what a fallen leaf signifies) runs up to me and says, "Here Kylee! Here is a leaf for you!" To which I responded, "AAAAA!" and preceeded to throw it to the ground and take photographic proof. Let it be known. August 26th 2009, the FIRST official sign of Fall 2009. It was like that commercial that was on TV last year where she sees the leaf on the ground and starts screaming. I forget what it was for but I experienced it today!

I don't really like Autumn, but I have to get through it to get to my beloved Winter! Yes, you read that right, "beloved winter". I love the winter season! It's so beautiful and fun! Don't get me wrong, I love summer however....

1. In summer you can't build a snowman.

2. In the summer you can't throw snowballs at your little sister.

3. Most importantly, You can't slide down a 90 degree slope of a hill on a 1/4 of an inch thick tefflon pan! (in the summer ;) )

So, moral of the story, until it looks like this outside....

....I will not stop lobbying for snow. To end this post I am going to leave you with a video all about winter to get everyone into the Wintery mood! And it's sung by Jason Mraz, one of my favourite artists, EVER!!!!

Memory Is The Thing You Forget With....

So I am (hopefully) back from my little hiatus. (Actually more like I forgot and people are hounding me ~COUGH~Aly~COUGH~ to update because "apparenty" I "don't tell them what's going on in my life now" or something along those lines.... well here has what has been happening.... ..... ..... ..... And that's about it! The summer has been crazy! So many kids. I'm VERY tired at night. Knitting projects are vast and numerous. So far I'm thinking I've completed a 6 month purple sweater, two of my famous "flower" baby hats, two beautiful cotton jumpers with crocheted Mary-Janes to match, and two of my "fuzzy hats" like the ones in my previous post. I now have another blog where I will post pictures and descriptions of my creations. Here, http://kyleeskraftkloset.blogspot.com/ .

Another AWSOME thing that happened at the beginning of the summer was that my twin second cousins were born on July 1st! Rorie and Neila are so beautiful! I can't wait until they are big enough to run around and play on the swings and the slide at the park! But for right now I will settle for feeding them some Similak....

I'm going to try and do this more often as apparently people are counting on this to keep up with my life ~COUGH~Aly~COUGH~ LOL! See Ya!

The Best Way to be Boring is to Leave Nothing Out....

Happy Saturday!

Ok, so it's not really a very happy Saturday, and do you know why? Because my sister has two friends in my basement! Count them! 3, 13 year-old girls! Granted they are being exceptionnally good tonight.... Care what else happened to me today, read on....

So my day started at 12:04 pm. Why? may you ask. Well that's simple. Because that's when my rabbit decided it was a good time to go for a jog around her cage. But surely you had slept enough by then you ask. And to that I say to you, not really considering this is only my second post and last night I was the "figuring it all out" night. Anyway, back to my story. It's 12:04 pm and I decided that I was going to get a shower for no other reason than to wake me up. So 20 minutes later I'm back in my bedroom as awake as I am going to get and I decide to check my Facebook. I look at some pictures, read some statuses, do some quizes...anyway I get lost in the Bermuda Triandgle that is Facebook until my stomache growls. The clock now says 1:30 pm. Where has the day gone? I go downstairs and make myself a bowl of frosted Mini Wheats(the breakfast/lunch of champions!) and turn on some old episodes of House, my favourite TV show. When I am done my cereal I decide to knit a little. Two hats, four mittens, six episodes of House and about 4 1/2 hours later I decide to eat a cookie. Then my mom cooks me dinner. It's very yummy and then I knit some more. At 7:00 pm me and my mom decide to watch Marley & Me. It's a very fast paced movie in which a couple gets married, buys a posessed dog, gets pregnant, has three kids, raises three kids, realises the error of their ways, and then to top it all off the dog dies. which in my opinion is a very STUPID way to end a movie. Anyway, then my mom went to bed and now it is 11:14 pm and I am going to bed....

I hope you weren't expecting that to be too exciting. I mean, come on. Look at the title of this post. Here is the pictures that I promised yesterday. My day's accomplishments in knitting....

And So the Blogging Begins....

Ok, so. This is blogging. Weird.... so.... What do people talk about on these things? Their kids? Well, I don't have any........ Their hobbies? I don't really have many of those either........ Their job(s) (don't look at me that way. In this ecconomy you never know!) Ok, focus! Jobs. Well, I don't really have a "real" job, at least not one that one would be able to audition for. And I say audition in the lightest way possible. Anyway, my job. If I had to write a description for what I do it would look like this....

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Assisstant

Essential Duties: Help to maintain order, cleanliness and safety within the working environment.

Secondary Duties:
Prepare nourishment and beverages for clients
Make sure clients recieve the proper amount of daily physical activity required for their age
Ensure that the proper leisure time is given based upon the age and ability of the client

Authority to disipline a rogue client for the allotted time specified
Good organisational skills
Excellent culinary skills
A strong stomach to handle a #2 half way up an 18 month old's back....

....ok, so if you couldn't tell by that last one my job is working at a daycare. My Aunt's daycare so no, there are no job openings. It's a great job. Tiring, but fun. It's really not like work at all. Unless you call sitting around and eating mud pies and playing with the cutest children on the face of the earth hard. Ok, so we do do more than just sit around all day. It is draining sometimes too. But I think at the end of the day getting a 2 year-old to do his "ka-kas" in the potty(a skill he has been working on for 2 weeks and many accidents later) is more rewarding than knowing you made 167.5 people a pound heavier with the food YOU cooked just to make a living....

Anyway, I think I'm going to go now since I've already made........ 2 references to feces. I'll try posting again tomorrow, maybe even get a little zealous and try adding a picture! :o) ;)
